Human Resources Training:

In this constantly evolving age of business with limited resources and a desire to maximize return on investment, Anderson Investigative Associates (AIA) wants to help you with the selection, retention, and promotion of your most valuable resource, people. We each have a responsibility to hire and promote the best people to advance our organizations and serve on our teams. It is essential that we conduct adequate backgrounding and interview our people effectively to insure that goal. We at AIA would like to provide training in practical methods to maximize the quality of information obtained during job interviews, promotional interviews and background investigations. This approach is non-confrontational and employs effective active listening skills and questioning techniques to lend confidence to your process and to advance the goals and mission of your organization.

Orientation to Advanced Techniques

Given examples of interview scenarios, the analyst, auditor, evaluator, fraud examiner, investigator, or inspector will identify the profile of a successful interviewer, the most common types of interviews, the common elements of interviews, and what types of interviews are appropriate in the professional, interview, or audit environment. This will include what types of interviews are appropriate for subjects and witnesses in criminal, civil and administrative investigations.

Advanced Evidence Presentations / Theme Presentations:

This course is designed to provide the analyst, auditor, evaluator, fraud examiner, investigator, or inspector with advanced evidence and theme presentation skills to be incorporated into the basic steps of the non-confrontational interview. This will include advanced evidence presentations; advance rationalization, projection, and minimization (RPM); decision makers viewpoint model; and the art of persuasion.

Who is Joel Weintraub?

Humor for the Health of It by Joel Weintraub

Joel Weintraub is a “humorous educator” who has managed to merge the formerly disparate worlds of comedy, business and education, the brain and understanding the brain of someone who commits fraud. By combining his professional comedy experience with his masters degree in Exercise Physiology and his bachelors in Health Education from Temple University, Joel has entertained and educated audiences as diverse as Fraud Examiners, Attorneys, Paralegals, Government Finance Officers, Accountants, Township Supervisors, Superintendents, Teachers, Physicians, Nurses, HR Professionals, Church groups, Synagogues and even Burglar Alarm Installers. From the “World Bank” to Dangerfield’s Comedy Club to major radio stations, the local news and the Food Channel … they have all laughed and learned with “Humor for the Health of it”. Ethics and the Brain:

Discover the Inner Workings of the Brain in Someone Who Commits Fraud and How to Detect When They are Lying

Were you ever curious to know what goes inside the head of someone who commits fraud? Just like everything else in life, it is much easier to fix a problem if you know what is causing that problem. This program will explore the inner reaches of the brain as we discover why normally honest, hard working people slide into the world of illegal activity. We will also discover how our own brain functions and how to decrease our stress and increase our focus for improved productivity throughout the day. In addition to understanding what goes on inside the brain of someone that commits fraud we will also learn how to read the signs of someone who is lying.

Strategic Thinking and Leadership/Management

What do heads of companies, comedy writers, advertising executives, municipal employees and parents have in common? Strategic thinking and creative problem solving! When used correctly the same techniques used to reduce conflict resolution, run a company, improve sales, write a joke, launch an ad campaign, problem solve, think beyond the ordinary and raise a family are very similar. In addition to learning techniques that will give you the ability to invent solutions to personal and corporate problems, you will also learn the techniques of parallel thinking. With parallel thinking you will no longer have to argue in the board room or the family room. Parallel thinking will lead you to solving problems together and uniting to arrive at mutually beneficial solutions.
