Japanese Sashiko Stitching Workshop
Overview
Welcome to our Japanese Sashiko Stitching Workshop! Join us at the East Harling Methodist Church for a hands-on experience to learn to stitch two traditional Japanese sashiko patterns: shippō tsunagi (linked seven treasures) and igeta koshi (well curb check), as well as some of the history of the craft and its modern resurgence. You will go home with two pieces that can be made into coasters or applied to clothing as a decorative patch.
No experience necessary - all skill levels are welcome! Come and enjoy a relaxing and creative ev with us. See you there!
Things we need you to bring: Needle threader (if you require one), thread snips/embroidery or other small scissors
Please note East Harling craft club is a non profit community craft group. Fee is to cover room hire and materials/instructors.
