Event description

Description

Nihonga is modern and contemporary Japanese painting using traditional East Asian techniques such as brush and sumi ink, Japanese paper, and ground mineral pigments. Learn the techniques of this art in an evening workshop led by Nihonga master Yūki Ideguchi. Come prepared to paint! All materials will be provided.

This program is FREE and open to the public with registration being REQUIRED to attend. Registration will close on Friday, April 19.

NOTE: Due to a limited number of spots and a high volume of interest for the workshop, a waitlist has been implemented. If a spot to participate in the workshop becomes available and you are next in line on the waitlist, you will be notified by email.

This event is sponsored by the the Committee on Japanese Studies at the Center for East Asian Studies with support from a Title VI National Resource Center Grant from the United States Department of Education.
