Event description

Description

This is Pen to Paper Retreats’ first Full Moon Hike of 2019!

In honor of the Full Moon on January 21, we'll be putting our cell phones away while hiking so that we can be completely present. We'll be taking breaks to listen to the sounds of nature, stop to take deep breathes, and check-in with ourselves. Bring your own snacks and water. I will be smudging everyone with sage before we start our hike.

The hike is moderate and is 3.8 miles. The Silver Mine Lake Trail in Harriman State Park is just 30 miles north of New York City—the second largest state park in New York. With 46,613 acres, 31 lakes, 3 beaches, and more than 200 miles of hiking trails, where do you begin? This leisurely wooded hike will take you to the top of Black Mountain, where you'll find a stunning view of the city's skyline. There's more information here and even see a video of the hiking trail here.

Directions are here. Trailhead parking: Old Silver Mine Ski Center

Don't worry about getting photos of yourself out there, I will pack my camera in case you want a nice photo of yourself out in nature.

This is event is FREE. But, please RSVP, so I know how many are coming. Limited spots available.

In case it rains/snows, I will send an email from Eventbrite and will be updating the Pen to Paper Retreats Instagram account to let everyone know if we have to reschedule.
