Our speaker this month will be Tony Scardino, CFO of the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

Presentation Topic: "Leadership Reflections for Financial Managers"

Learning Objectives: By the end of this presentation, attendees should be able to:

  • Understand the leadership insights and lessons learned by Mr. Scardino throughout his 25 years working in federal government finance, including challenges faced during his year as the current Acting Deputy Director of the USPTO.
  • Cite the qualities Mr. Scardino believes are necessary for Management and Executive success.

Instructional Delivery Method: Group-Live

Target Audience: All finance, accounting, and auditing professionals working in, or providing support to, Federal, state, and local governments.

Advance Preparation: No prerequisites or advanced preparation are required for this program.

CPE Credit: This program will qualify for 1 CPE credit with confirmed attendance. Credits will be granted based on a 50-minute hour.

Cost to Attend: The registration fee is $15 for Government members, $25 for Industry members and $35 for all non-members.

Early Bird Pricing: The $10.00 early registration special price applies to MEMBER Government employees -- Federal, state, and local!

The early registration deadline is 4:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, so register immediately to take advantage of this special price!

Refund Policy: AGA DC cannot offer refunds and all transactions are final.

An administrative fee will be assessed for any registration transfer request. The amount of the administrative fee will be based on the difference between the original attendee’s registration fee and the full price registration fee. If the original attendee paid the full price registration fee, a $5 administrative fee will be assessed.

Registration transfer requests will only be processed on the day of the luncheon; the administration fee must be remitted upon check-in at the registration table. Registrations may not be transferred to future events. Registrations may not be transferred to future events.

The Community Service Committee will highlight A Wider Circle during the AGA Chapter luncheon on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

The mission of A Wider Circle is simple: to help one individual and one family after another to rise out of poverty. The hope is that every child and adult has the chance to succeed and the opportunity to live well.

We will be hosting a collection drive at the January luncheon to collect professional attire and accessories to help support A Wider Circle’s Professional Development Program. We will be collecting suits, suit separates, dress shirts, blouses, ties, dresses, purses, briefcases, belts, and shoes.

Each members interested in participating will receive a raffle ticket for each article of clothing or item donated and a raffle ticket for every $5 donated during the luncheon. The lucky participant will receive a $50 gift card! So, please bring those charitable donations!
