Join us for our winter chapter membership meeting. We have so much to discuss as we bring in 2017!
- New Board structure and positions starting in April 2017
- Elections are coming
- Team schedules for 2017
- Meeting dates for the year
In addition, we have a wonderful guest speaker: Sharon Lewis of AdviCoach. Sharon is a business coach who coaches the owners of privately held and family-owned businesses. She can help you grow your profits and build a team to help run the business for you so you can get some time back for yourself. She will be speaking to us about how to set goals and achieve them. And what better time for goal setting than a new year.
Immediately following the Winter Chapter Meeting.
Join us for a special 2-hour education class on using Tai Chi for self care. Steve "Lucky" Luckingham has a marital arts background and will talk to us about Tai Chi Chuan, its history and benefits. We will then have a "hands-on" practice Tai Chi session with Lucky.
Over time and repetition, we become very aware of our bodies and design. As a rule, we don’t really pay much attention on HOW we use our bodies… so we risk injury due to lack of information. As you practice Tai Chi Chuan, and you become more in tune, you will change things physically. You will understand how to manage a task so as not to inflict self structural damage. You’ll learn how to use your ligaments, sinews, skeletal system, mental and visual focus, spacial awareness, and more to move instead of relying on muscle. So when you get older, and lose your muscle, you won’t lose your autonomy due to the fact that you’ve been preparing for the future through this method now while you can.
All AMTA CT members are welcome at the business meeting. Guests may attend one meeting. Education is FREE for all AMTA CT members. Education is $50 for non-members and $30 for out of state AMTA members.
