January 2013 Cause Communications Community Meetup: Marketing Research
Monday, January 28, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (PST)
San Francisco, CA
We're back in San Francisco this month, hosted by the Global Fund for Women in SF's financial district. The goal of this (free) meetup group is to discuss nonprofit communications and outreach challenges, and brainstorm solutions.
This month's topic: Marketing Research for the Cause Communications Community
While marketing might be a bit of a dirty word in the nonprofit communications community, there are strategies from the field that can help to advance our causes and make our work more efficient and effective. We'll be talking about cheap and (kinda) easy methods for getting to know your audience(s), best practices, and a case study of a local organization's research.
(Loose) Meetup Schedule:
- 6 pm - 6:10 pm: Networking and informal conversation
- 6:10 pm - 6:15 pm: Meetup groundrules and introductions
- 6:15 pm - 7:45 pm: Main meat of the meetup - Marketing Research for Nonprofits
- 7:45 pm - 8 pm: Meetup topic discussion, location brainstorm, January's meeting and other logistics
