Janet Kraus is co-founder and CEO of Peach, a four-year-old lifestyle brand with a mission to help women “elevate their everyday” and thrive personally and professionally. For customers, Peach offers contemporary and comfortable apparel for gym, work and play; for its cadre of social-sales brand representatives across the U.S., an opportunity to start their own fashion business without the financial risk; for female-founded accessory brands, a platform to collaborate and share success.
Kraus had spent four years as a senior lecturer teaching entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School when she met designer and e-commerce developer Derek Ohly, who joined her to serve as co-founder and COO of Peach. Since 2010 she has remained an Entrepreneur in Residence at Harvard, where she advises students in entrepreneurship. Previously, Kraus co-founded and sold two companies in the high-end travel and leisure industry: Spire (2007-10), a social media venture helping affluent travelers discover leisure and lifestyle experiences, sold to Perfect Escapes; and Circle (1997-2007), a concierge and events company, which was sold to Sodexo.
An angel investor and startup advisor, Kraus and the companies she has led or advised have been profiled in the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Fortune Small Business and New York Times. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and educational institutions on entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, corporate values, team building, vision, happiness and life planning.
Janet Kraus received a B.A. degree from Yale and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She lives outside of Boston with her husband and 11-year-old twin daughters.
