Event Details

The JAMS workshop is a two week interactive training course conducted by Thoughtworks on agile methodology and continuous development for ICT students, professionals and trainers who need to learn and understand how to create high quality maintainable software, deal with evolutionary requirements and plan adaptively. The aim of the program is to prepare participants to develop software in today's user focused and dynamic environment.

Our training offering provides a reliable framework which you can use to run your projects - the course will help articulate effective processes, tools and techniques for the project.

Target Participants

The workshop will be limited to 50 participants who are either training to be or are working as:

  • Software Developers
  • Software Architects
  • Project Managers
  • Applications Analysts

A number of outstanding participants will receive:

  • 3 months internship at Grameen Foundation Applab.
  • Mentorship from leading industry experts
  • An evening with the Thoughtworks team picking their brains.

Workshop Details

The workshop will run from 9:00am to 5:00pm everyday with a 1 hour lunch break between 1:00pm - 2:00pm.

Registration Fee
Participation is absolutely FREE but participants will be expected to cater for their meals throughout the program.

Participant Requirements

All attendees will be required to come with their own laptops with the following installed:

  • Latest version of Eclipse
  • JDK 1.6 or higher
  • JUnit 4

  AppLab uses mobile technologies to both disseminate and gather relevant and actionable information. We develop mobile phone applications and services that allow people to access information on important topics like health and agriculture, among others.
