On 12 November, 2016, I invite all of you to join me on my journey to raise money for the juvenile arthritis fundraiser. I myself will be doing a complete walk from Beverly to Perth (approximately 132 km) and I invite each and everyone of you to complete the first leg of the course, from Beverley to York with me (approx. 32 km).
I am just one of the many Australians who suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. Many of these people who do suffer from it are young children, some of these being as young as six years old. We all know how important it is for children to get out and play amongst their friends and get involved in physical activity. This promotes a healthy and active lifestyle as well as enables them to move freely. Unfortunatel, for some, this is not the case.
Just like no child deserves to have a childhood riddled with pain, no parent deserves to see their child or children suffer. I, along with the juvenile arthritis fundraiser are raising funds to help the University of New South Wales find a cure.
There's a very good chance that you know someone who suffers from this debilitating disease, if it's not yourself, it might be your son, your daughter, your grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, mum, dad, or even one of your best mates! You may see some of the pain that they have been through, but you will never fully understand the amount of pain that they are actually in! So please, join me on my journey to help the people of our future!
Who will you be there for?
all proceeds go to the juvenile arthritis fundraiser:
