About this Event

JAMES HOOPER

Josiah / Danny Thomas / Cammi

*************************************************************

James Hooper

Born in Atlanta, GA, James Hooper is a comtemporary hip hop and R&B artist. He started passionately pursuing music at 17 years old. He started out by teaching himself to dance, watching YouTube videos of dancers and other popular artists to get better. Eventually, this led him to teaching himself how to produce, sing, and later, act. "What sets me apart from other artists is not only my unique melodies, writing style and one-of-a-kind sound, but my accomplishments and the connections that I have developed in the industry as an independent artist as well." While James writes, records, and engineers the majority of his records in his own home studio, he also works closely with Ben Hogarth, Jason Derulo's personal engineer, who mixed and mastered his latest album "My Paradise". Over the past year, James has had multiple performances at the Vinyl at Center Stage in Atlanta, but he hopes to begin performing in other cities and grow his fan base. He is currently focusing on building his brand, expanding his network, developing his skills as a singer, dancer, and actor, and most importantly, inspiring others all around the world. As an artist, he encourages people to realize that ANY dream is possible to achieve. Some of his inspirations include Chris Brown, Mario, and Drake.

Josiah comes from the north side of Atlanta, Georgia in the city of Alpharetta where he started his career in the music industry. Josiah was 12 years old when he began writing song. When he was 17 he dropped his own single, “Make Me Yours”; fully produced, written, and recorded by himself. At 19, he dropped his first album, “Things Change”; also fully done by himself, with the help of James Hooper and Solomon. During that year he spent his time performing with his team and improving in his music. He performed in shows through out Atlanta, including the Vinyl, Northview High School, events in the city, recording in many studios and mastering his understanding of audio engineering. After the album came out, he dropped a new single he named “How Can I Lose?” that changed the direction of his career. Since then, he’s been putting out records moving towards a contemporary pop/hip-hop wave and working as a solo artist, also working with his team to climb to the top.
