Description

Think you're fit? Test your athletic mettle against some of the fittest men and women in the Lynchburg area. We'll have a blast as we push our fitness to the limits. Whether you work out at a local crossfit affiliate, a big globo-gym, at your school, or in your garage, everyone is welcomed and encouraged to participate!

The 4th Annual Hill City Throwdown will be held on Saturday, September 9th at the Jamerson Family YMCA. The Hill City Throwdown is a fitness competition...

Divisions: Team Male, Team Female, Scaled Team Male, Scaled Team Female and Individual Masters.

Each team consists of two athletes.

There will be three WODs with a final event for the top five teams/athletes. Scoring will be based on total number of points accrued. First WOD will be announced three weeks prior to the event, with one workout released each of the following weeks leading up to the event. Be sure to keep checking the Jamerson Crossfit Facebook page for any updates and changes.

  • $$$ Prizes for first place Rx/Master finishers.
  • Each podium finisher will also receive a FREE t-shirt.
  • DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS SATURDAY, 9/2/17
  • Each registered athlete will be given a FREE Hill City Throwdown t-shirt and gift bags filled with all sorts of goodies!
  • All Proceeds will be donated to the YMCA’s Summer Learning Loss Prevention Program and the Adaptive CrossFit program.

  • Handstand Push-ups
  • Ground to overhead (95/135lb.)
  • Deadlift (160/225lb.)
  • Double Unders
  • Olympic weightlifting

Scaled M/F:

  • Knees to Chest
  • Jumping Pull-ups
  • Ground to Overhead (55/75lb.)
  • Deadlift (95/135lb.)
  • Olympic Weightlifting * scaled by weight *
  • Double unders / Can be scaled to single unders adding additonal reps (example 100 DU = 300 SU)

Individual Masters (40+ by day of event)

  • Toes to bar
  • Chest to Bar Pull-ups
  • Handstand Push-ups
  • Ground to Overhead (115lb.)
  • Deadlift (185lb.)
  • Olympic Weightlifting

This competition will include a max lift, so be prepared to get heavy. The final WOD will not be announced until after the 3rd WOD.

Preliminary Schedule

Check-in is at 7:00 a.m.

Competition will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9th.

Teams will complete two workouts before lunch, and two workouts after lunch.


The event should be wrapping up by 3:00 p.m.
