Save The Date: Saturday, January 14, 2017
We kindly request your support for the Jamaican David “Wagga” Hunt Scholarship Fundraising Ball 2017 to be held the evening of Saturday, January 14, 2017 under the Distinguished Patronage of the New Jamaican Ambassador to the United States of America (2nd duty), Her Excellency, Audrey P. Marks. This will be our fifth consecutive "Red Carpet" event, and all of the proceeds will support deserving students at two of the premier high schools in Kingston, Jamaica; Calabar High School (CHS) and Kingston College (KC).
This year’s spotlight will focus on recognizing the outstanding achievements of Jamaicans in the field of Science globally. We will shine the light on Dr. Milton Bernard, Sr., DDS and Dr. Norman Smith, MD who are alumni of CHS and KC, respectively and both have their practices in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. They have not only supported this event in the past, but they have constantly been giving back to their respective High Schools.
This formal “Red Carpet” event will take place in the Elegant Atrium of the National Education Association (NEA) Building, located at 1201 16th Street NW, Washington, DC 20036 from 8:00 pm – Midnight.
We will again be feted with sumptuous Jamaican cuisine with ALL FOOD AND BEVERAGES (inclusive of BEER and WINE) included. The very popular Bob Marley Dance Studio, along with a live band providing musical entertainment and Free Valet Parking.
