Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning is thrilled to announce Jamaica Mic Drop, a monthly series that will bring live music, spoken word and more to the community for free. Jamaica Mic Drop is presented in collaboration with Jamaica BID. The series will take place on the last Friday of each month throughout the summer, with intention to enliven the Downtown Jamaica Community and bring traffic to surrounding small businesses.
Along with free entertainment from some of the community's brightest stars, Jamaica Mic Drop will also feature a pop up shop with several local vendors, curated by Anasa Greaves. RSVP below for the first installment of Jamaica Mic Drop!

The Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning (JCAL), founded in 1972, is a multidisciplinary arts center based in the diverse community of Southeast Queens. It devoted its mission to offer quality visual, performing, and literary arts, and to provide accessible education programs to encourage participation in the arts. , arts education and artists’ programs to encourage participation in the arts and to contribute to the cultural enrichment of Queens and the Greater Metropolitan area.
