Description
Join us for a special 3-hour narrated tour of Jamaica Bay aboard the 100 ft. “Golden Sunshine” out of Sheepshead Bay. Learn about the history, management issues, & ecology of the bay and see migrating hawks, falcons, osprey, herons, egrets, ibis, shorebirds, waterfowl and maybe a Bald Eagle.
Leaders: Mickey Cohen, Don Riepe.
Cost: $55/person (kids under16-$25) includes narrated tour and complimentary wine & refreshments.
Meet at 3:30pm at Pier 9 ( Emmons Ave, Brooklyn), the boat will depart promptly at 4pm.
How to get there: Q-Train: Sheepshead Bay Station. By car: Get off the Belt Parkway at exit 9 or 9a.
