JACOB DAVIS MARTIN / ME ME ME / JUSTIN CROSS

*********************************************************

Jacob Davis Martin

I started as a musician when my grandma decided to gift me one of my Dad’s old guitars in the 8th grade. I started writing songs soon after that and haven’t been able to stop since. Just before starting college, I recorded my first EP of original songs in my parents basement. No venues were interested in responding to the emails of a helpless 18 year old looking for a release show, so with the help of my dad I built a stage in my own back yard and have had annual concerts since then. Now, after writing and playing for 10 years, I have had opportunities to record multiple EPs in studio environments and play at many proper venues, but the DIY spirit that values hard work and community over formal institutions still prevails in my approach to writing, performing, and promoting. For me its about the journey to craft excellent songs and the family and friends that are there along the way.

Currently, I’m going to school at Appalachian State to study music industry while continuing to write and perform music throughout the southeast at house shows and songwriter venues.

Me Me Me

What started out as a wedding trio in 2017 has now blossomed into an indie pop group planning to drop an EP in 2018.

Justin Cross

Justin Cross is a Singer/Songwriter from Birmingham, AL

After releasing his first full-length album Listening to Ghosts in 2010, Justin Cross started reworking and perfecting his homey, folky sound; quickly realizing a maturity that few songwriters of his age possess. His songs speak of hopeful realism, of spiritual struggles, and of a desire to affect the world in a positive light.

In 2012, Cross released his official follow-up EP, Another Winter, to resounding critical approval and further developed his keen sense for contemplative songwriting.

After a successful, fan-funded IngieGoGo campaign at the end of 2013, Cross released his second full-length album, Hope Where It Lies . Cross says, “It is one of those records that resonates with different people in different ways. Some people may be dealing with the same cynicism I was and I want them to see that the world isn’t as much of a lost cause as they suspect.”
