The Jackson Area Early Childhood Conference offers a full day of training on effective strategies and helpful tips for child care and home providers, preschool teachers and parents. More than 40 sessions are offered by engaging and informative presenters. A vendor area will be available during the event to provide information about agencies that provide support services for caregivers and their families along with a variety of affordable materials that can be purchased to take back to your program. A box lunch from Roly Poly may be pre-purchased, or conference attendees may choose from a variety of restaurants neighboring Baker College for lunch. At the conclusion of the conference day, each participant will receive a certificate documenting completion of 5 training clock hours, and State Continuing Education Credit Hours (formerly CEU's) are available for those who complete the required paperwork, fee is included with registration. This years keynote, Vernon Mason Jr. MEd, founder of Directors Leadership Solutions and Director of WEE SCHOOL Child Development Centers. Vernon leads the program building from 25 years in the field. His presentation provides inspiration, motivation, information, resources, tips and funny stories.
