About this Event

Noumen Art presents to audience the best talents in the field of contemporary music, stage and screen art, fine art and synthesis of arts. Noumen Art is a festival for intellectuals.

The beginning of our summer season 2020 will be special: this time in a crystal clear air of the Tyrolean Alps the magic cedar ringing will merge with an enchanting sound of Palle Mikkelborg's and Nils Petter Molvaer's trumpets, Terje Rypdal’s guitar and Arild Andersen’s double bass, these great ECM Style protagonists. It will be the most beautiful sound next to silence!

And also an echo of rebellious texts of Nietzsche's Zarathustra will be heard on the snowy alpine peaks. A reincarnation of Lou Salome, Ksanda WhiteBird, will sing those texts to the mountains... And somewhere nearby, in a space of electrified shocking images of Israeli artist Leni Smoraggdova, an unhurried mimo-dramatic sacrament called Japanese butoh will take place.

And more, taking out of nowhere, a breath of the distant Central Asian steppes will burst into the valley of Defereggental, along with bizarre installations of desperate Kazakh actionists... There will still be very many other things - delightful, strange, captivating mind and imagination...

And all this is IX International Festival of Contemporary Experimental and Ethno-Avantgarde Art NOUMEN ART’2020, which promises to become an annual tradition for ZedernKlang Hotel and Hoftgarten in Defereggen (Osttirol).
