About the organizer

Organized by
IWCI
IWCI: Serving the Worker's Compensation Industry in Indiana for 25 Years

The Indiana Worker's Compensation Institute was co-founded in 1991 by a small group of people led by Betty Croshaw and John Shanks. The first meeting was an all day seminar in August 1991. Since that time, the organization has grown to over 300 members in 3 chapters throughout the state of Indiana.

IWCI has continued to follow it's mission by providing regular luncheon meetings with each of the chapters and an annual seminar which provides educational opportunities for all our members.

We have helped to initiate a non-profit organization called Kids' Chance which provides educational financial assistance to children of catastrophically injured or deceased workers.

In addition, IWCI has provided scholarship grants to area universities, including Indiana State University, Ball State University and University of Indianapolis.

Our Mission

IWCI's mission is to promote and conduct programs of general education in worker's compensation and related areas, assist members in improving their skills so that they continue to be an asset to their employer and provide financial support for charitable organizations and educational institutions that benefit the area of worker's compensation. We encourage you to become more familiar with IWCI. As always, in the event that you have any questions, please feel free to contact any officer. They will be more than willing to answer any of your questions.
