Make your family and friends green with envy as you master the rules of healthy and hearty gardening. Ivy Tech Northeast’s agriculture chair, Kelli Kreider, teaches you everything you need to know to get started, from preparing beds and planning for appropriate sunlight to harvesting techniques and exploring raised beds, container planting, and hydroponics. Bonus: you'll leave the class with your own set of "starts" ready to go into your garden at the start of planting season!
Class meets on two consecutive Wednesdays:
- Wednesday, April 5 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 12 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
ADULT AND YOUTH CLASSES
For the purposes of registration in adult classes, you MUST be 16 years of age at the start of the class unless otherwise indicated. Classes for youth are listed with the specific ages/grade levels in the class description.
IvyLiving classes follow the Ivy Tech Community College Northeast procedure for emergency cancellation of classes. We will do our best to inform all students as soon as possible in case of a rare cancellation.
IvyLiving classes have a specific “register by” date which will determine whether or not the class will run. If there are not enough registrations by the registration deadline, the course may be cancelled. Additionally, most programs have limited space available so it is in your best interests to register early. After the registration deadline, please call for space availability.
If you need to cancel your registration, please contact us at least 14 days before the first class meeting to receive a full refund or credit. No refunds or credits will be issued after this time. In the event that the class is cancelled due to low enrollment, full refunds will be issued in the original form of payment.
IvyLiving reserves the right to use substitute instructors and alternate facilities and schedules when necessary.
