Event description

Description

The first Saturday of September, we are celebrating our reopening by having three of our family programs on one day: Itty Bitty Art, Toddler Studio, and our brand new Family Workshop. All three of these programs will only be available to Carter Members. If you are not currently a member of the museum, please join here.

Itty Bitty Art is a monthly program that occurs on the third Tuesday and Saturday of each month. Two classes occur on each date: one for infants under 12 months old and one for young toddlers between 12 and 24 months old. Each program brings in early childhood specialists to teach children and their favorite adults tips and tricks for enhancing their curiosity and imagination while using the Carter’s collection as inspiration.

Bring your young toddler (ages 12–24 months) to the Carter for an art-filled experience! Participate with Lauren Davis, early childhood music teacher, as she leads a session that includes music-making activities. Musical activities include creative movement, dancing, instrument play, and singing. Caregivers will learn to recognize early music behaviors such as singing and moving, as well as how to utilize music during daily rituals at home.

Please bring a blanket to use during this program and be sure to wear comfortable clothing.

Registration for this program opens August 15. Max 2 adults per child, no siblings.

This session is only available for Carter Members.
