Description

Serving as the chair of the board is not for the uninspired and undecided! Doing the job well requires an understanding of and tolerance for individualism, different levels of professionalism, and various degrees of commitment that can affect a board’s culture and effectiveness.

In this workshop, participants will learn about:

  • The role and responsibility of the board chair in strengthening and improving the leadership work of the board as a whole
  • How to identify your leadership legacy as a board chair and the skills you need to lead effectively
  • Common board chair problems and how to address them, how to structure meaningful board meetings, and ways to engage individual board members
