It's not easy being green - Zero Waste Behavior Change
Wed, October 19, 2016, 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM PDT
Whether you want to be an ambassador for Zero Waste, or keep yourself motivated, come learn about what it takes to make a change. The Zero Waste movement is growing, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy being an early adopter!
Have you encountered resistance from businesses you frequent, or even friends and family? Share your experiences, good and bad, with other zero-wasters, and learn about the science of behavior change.
(Much of the material will be drawn from the book 'Fostering Sustainable Behavior' by Doug Mackenzie-Mohr, but there will also be time to share personal stories about your struggles and successes, and discuss where the zero waste movement is heading.)
Please join us for a potluck social before the talk. Bring a zero-waste dish to share, and your own mug and cutlery. It doesn't have to be fancy! Bread, butter, hummus, tea, cream, sugar, veggies, or fruit are simple but always needed.
If you can no longer attend the event, please cancel your eventbrite order so someone on the waitlist may have a spot.
