Description

The July edition of It’s Improvised at the 129! at Dragonfly Studios in Ocoee will feature wide array of hip hop artists, television, film and stage actors and musical improvisers from around Central Florida. Special guests include Isaac Knox, Jordan Keyes and Johnny Hugo of the Hip Hop comedy team Free Daps, Chelsea and Max Hilend, Daryl Black, Tracy Wiu and Joel Warren will join local improv troupe will join local improv troupe, Four First Names and Music Director, Elaine Pechacek.

It’s Improvised at the 129! is a monthly live improvised variety show that highlights an array of performing arts disciplines and features a mixture of interviews and performances by special guests ranging from well-known local and national talent to city and regional officials. The show is hosted by Four First Names, comprised of Orlando improvisers Chris Barry and Richard Paul and musical director Elaine Pechacek.

Tickets are $10 online or $15 at the door, and doors open at 7:35 p.m. Beer, wine, and refreshments are available for purchase.

Free Daps-Jordan Keyes, Johnny Hugo and Isaac Knox

Hip-Hop meets “Whose Line” every time FREE DAPS hits the stage. FREE DAPS is a group of rappers and improvisers who create unique, spur-of-The-moment hip hop songs about any crowd. Their audience-inspired rap songs have gotten them spots at NBA Playoff games, Disney World and probably your cousin’s bat mitzvah.

Daryl Black

Daryl has performed with various troupes in the Central Florida area over the last fifteen years. He is currently playing with the Next Gen cast at Sak comedy lab. His wife, Jamie, is also an improviser, and, no, for the last time, they don’t play improv games at home!

Joel Warren

Joel is a member of the ensemble at Sak comedy lab and has worked as an actor, writer and director in the US, Canada, China, UK and South Africa. He worked for one day power washing apartments in high -school. He was not asked back for a second day.

Tracy Wiu

Tracy Wiu has been working in front and behind the camera for over 18 years. Actor, comedian, and producer. She is a member of Gaggle Reflex, a sketch comedy troupe out of Ocoee, FL and can regularly be seen hosting at ESPN Wide World of Sports. She's also worked on TV and film, most recently on Nickelodeon's I am Frankie.

Chelsea and Max Hilend

Chelsea Hilend is a performer and teacher at SAK Comedy Lab, where her favorite current projects include Lights Up: The Improvised Rock Opera and a specialty course entitled Advanced Improv Performance for Women. By day, she serves as Marketing and Box Office Manager for the Annie Russell Theatre at Rollins College, where she also teaches Intro to Theatre Administration.

Max Hilend is a performer at SAK Comedy Lab. He enjoyed years as an actor at Universal Orlando and TeachLivE before shifting his focus to craft beer. He’s currently the Statewide Sales Manager for Progressive Distribution.
