Event description
Join us as “Sustainability Entrepreneur” Aaron Fyke discusses Climate Change and the local and global opportunities to address it.

About this Event

Join us for an evening with “Sustainability Entrepreneur” Aaron Fyke as he makes a case for optimism in the accelerating work to address Climate Change. The evening will start with an updated overview on climate change science and its economic and human impacts. Unlike discussions that just raise alarm, the subject will shift to an honest, constructive discussion about the amazing work that is being done to address this global challenge - much of it in California, and with many innovations emerging here in Santa Barbara.

Aaron Fyke is an engineer and business executive with over twenty years as an entrepreneur. He co-founded six companies across several sustainability technology areas including fuel cells, ocean power, concentrating solar, and energy storage.

Aaron earned an MBA and MSME from MIT, as a prestigious Leaders for Global Operations fellow. Presently, he is the Managing Director at Thin Line Capital, deploying capital, and advising family offices and corporations who seek opportunities associated with changing climate. In this role, Aaron has a front row seat to the innovations and capital flows being brought to bear on the world’s toughest and most important problems in energy, water and food sustainability. His ventures have been backed by Idealab, Bill Gates, NRG, and others. In addition to his entrepreneurial and VC work, Aaron is an adjunct lecturer at USC.

Please join us for this important update on climate science and the progress being made “in the right direction”. There is much work left to do, but powerful generational and economic foundations in sustainability are now scalable and accelerating; suggesting, finally, a sustainable future may be within reach. We hope you will join us!
