It's All in Your Mind: Tools and Tips from Positive Psychology to Increase Happiness and Well-Being with Betsy Black
Eating well, sleeping, exercising, and having meaning in your life are well known practices to support your health. But what about what goes on in your head? Positive Psychology, the empirical study of what human behaviors work well, offers specific tools and techniques for the mind that you can use to support your health and well-being. In this interactive session, learn simple, effective techniques to increase your happiness. Laughter guaranteed. The class will include lecture, reflection, discussion and immediate application of positive psychology tools.
This is a free Co-op Wellness Class hosted in conjunction with Concord City Council.
Council Chambers is a few blocks from the Co-op near Statehouse Plaza and the Library (between the Police Department and City Hall – the building is attached to the Police Department with a separate entrance, set back a little bit). From I-93 N, take Exit 14 (State Offices Exit). Take a left off the exit and follow through six sets of lights. After you cross through Main Street (Holiday Inn and TD BankNorth at intersection), take a left onto Green Street.
Parking: On-street parking is available and free after 5 pm. The adjacent School and Capitol Streets generally have spaces available. Parking garages are located nearby on North State Street (near the YMCA) and just beyond that (headed towards downtown) on School Street/Warren Street.
