APSIA - The Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs,

in cooperation with The National Model United Nations (NMUN), presents

It's All Global Now: Guiding your Mentees in Defining an

International Affairs Career Path

Please join us for a panel discussion with APSIA career and admissions directors to examine how you can provide the best guidance to your students and mentees in developing a career path in international affairs -- particularly as the term 'international affairs' becomes increasingly difficult to define.  This inter-active panel discussion will provide ideas and resources that will help you move from offering prescriptive advice to your students to guiding them in asking the right questions and discovering for themselves viable career paths.  We will also examine where graduate school can fit into career development. Lunch will be provided.

Moderator: Jessica Hatherill, Associate Director of Alumni Relations and Career Services, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh

Panelists:

  • Christine de Groh, Associate Director of Graduate Admissions, Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University
  • Ken Lawson, Director of Student Relations, Office of Career Services, School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University
  • Matthew Meekins, Director of Operations, Online Programs; School of International Service, American University
  • Marny Mitchell, Assistant Director of Admissions, Harvard Kennedy School
