Introducing…… iTRAIL Glenrock 2016
Born out of a need for a quality, professionally run, trail run event right in the heart of Newcastle, iTRAIL Glenrock is the second event from the iRUN Events team to Inspire a World of Movement and promote healthy lifestyle choices. Getting families involved together.

iRUN Events is excited to be bringing a world class trail running event to the Newcastle Region with the inaugural event being held on Sunday 9th October, 2016. This will be a one of a kind event running through the beautiful trails of Glenrock State Conservation Area in Newcastle, NSW taking in spectacular scenery and multiple terrain. iTRAIL Glenrock will consist of two distances, 6km and 16km.

Glenrock State Conservation Area is a protected conservation area located eight kilometres south of the central business district of Newcastle in the state of New South Wales, on the east coast of Australia. The park borders the coast and encompasses 534 hectares stretching from the residential suburbs of Merewether to Dudley within the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie Local Government Areas.

Glenrock State Conservation Area is significant as it contains a large number of important remnant vegetation communities, contains a number of heritage sites, and is used by a wide variety of user groups. The park contains many cultural records, both Aboriginal and European, and is located within the Awabakal Local Aboriginal Land
