Looking into Ways of Seeing, Sight Through Other “Eyes
We will use indoor and outdoor spaces at Rosenberg to have fun as adults in opening our eyes to new ways of observing and perceiving using and creating various tools for visual perception. This workshop is intended for teachers as learners and researchers who want to think and play together and hopefully collect much more than a material technique. Through creating scenarios in relation to a variety of visual and optic phenomena and by creating some simple devices and techniques they can take with them participants are encouraged to experience and revisit the relationship between seeing differently and thinking differently. Participants are invited to reflect on their own visual understandings and practices (visual cultures in early childhood will come up), to shift perspectives and to influence one another in creating playful, authentic experiences.
