Cultivating Mindful Leadership
This workshop will focus on cultivating mindfulness in ECE leadership. We will first develop an understanding of a basic framework of mindfulness and the inner work that skillful leadership requires, including self regulation and self knowing. We will focus on how to skillfully apply mindfulness practices to develop leadership responses in situations that commonly arise in ECE contexts including adapting to uncertainty, and understanding and holding multiple perspectives in addressing complex situations. There will be a short guided meditation time in this workshop and in small groups we will discuss and work with relevant scenarios to learn together as we consider the application of techniques and strategies to practice mindful leadership.
