NESAWG's 2016 It Takes A Region Conference
NESAWG's annual It Takes a Region Conference brings together farm and food practitioners across the 12-state Northeast region to learn, debate, collaborate, and innovate ideas and solutions to critical food systems issues. Our 2015 conference is November 10-12 at the Hartford Hilton in Hartford, CT.
This year's theme: Tackling Wicked Problems in Food Systems
Wicked problems are not any old problems that just won’t go away. They are longstanding, complex, and difficult to define. In our collective work towards food system sustainability and justice, we constantly encounter wicked problems: food insecurity, farm viability, and farmworker exploitation to name a few. While we cannot expect immediate solutions, we must collaborate across our movement to develop feasible, long-term approaches to these intractable issues.
For more information about our theme, visit the Main Conference page.

Youth Registration Policy
Youth are welcome at the conference and we encourage organizations working with youth to consider bringing them to participate. This year, we will have programming at the conference developed by youth for youth. We also prioritize youth applicants in our scholarship process.
All youth under the age of 18 must be registered by a staffperson at an existing organization - they cannot register for the conference on their own. If you work with an organization that would like to bring youth, or if you are under the age of 18 and not a part of an organization but would still like to attend, please contact Tracy Lerman at email@example.com. For more information, visit the Youth at the Conference page.
If you are unable to attend the conference after you register, NESAWG will reimburse your full registration cost minus a $25 processing fee until October 21, 2016. If you request a refund between October 22 - November 4 you will receive a 50% reimbursement. No refunds will be issued after November 4, 2016. Please email refund requests to Julia Fiore: firstname.lastname@example.org
