Description

It Came From Scape Ore Swamp: The Lizard Man Tour

Presented by Ethereal Crack

In the first tour of its' kind, join your tour guide on an in-depth walking tour of historic Bishopville, exploring the expertly handcrafted case study of the local Lizzard Man, covering his sightings, attacks, and the reasons why he could be here, going as far to maybe that he's an alien, or worse, the pet of one - and was left behind.

Tours running hourly at 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 P.M. – Friday and Saturday of every weekend; some special dates and times available, check our tour calendar below for the full listing of dates and times.

Meet with your guide at your tour time, standing in front of the Lee County Arts Council office, holding a lantern.

  • Bring a group of four or more for a 25% discount. $11.25 per guest.

  • Single tickets are $15 per guest

  • Children five and under are free.

Ethereal Crack loves and supports our community. Each month, 10% of proceeds are donated to a local nonprofit chosen by the administration team.

FAQ:

Q: Is this one of Ethereal Crack's ghost tours?
No. While it is run by Ethereal Crack, this is a special tour talking about only the Bishopville Lizard Man in an in-depth fashion. We do have a ghost tour available. You can find it at:
www.BishopvilleGhosts.Eventbrite.com

Q: Are people going to pop out and scare us?

A: While it would be pretty funny, no, nobody on our staff will try to startle you by jumping out or doing anything crazy, like at a haunted house. This walk is all about the true stories, not getting a scream out of you.

Q: Is it too scary for my seven year old?

A: We wish we could help you, but we don’t know your child. Some of the stories can be a little intense, so practice your better judgment. For children who want to go but are a little scared of going in the dark, we suggest our 5 and 6 P.M. tour options – it isn’t so dark then.

Q: How much walking is there?

A: Our tour is designed to move at a moderate pace for one hour along the streets of downtown Bishopville. We suggest all participants are able to endure normal levels of activity and go up and down stairs.

Q: Can I bring a flashlight? Can I record or take pictures?

A: Absolutely. We only ask that you do not use flash photography, as it is distracting.

Q: How do we find our guide? What if I get separated from the group?

A: Your guide will be standing in front of The Lee County Arts Council's office at your meeting time. If you lose the group during the tour, look for the glowing lantern.

Q: I decided to not go on the tour after buying tickets. Can I get a refund? Can I transfer them to another time? What if it rains?

A: Sadly, we cannot offer refunds. All sales are final – this is to streamline our ticketing and make attending accessible and easy for everyone.

You can transfer tickets to another time - please check with Tim Starnes, Producer, to ensure that a tour will be running at the time you plan to transfer your visit to.

Our tours run rain, sleet, shine, volcano or earthquake. Should under extreme consequences your tour be canceled by Ethereal Crack for safety concerns, you will be notified and either refunded or free to reschedule.

Q: Do I need to print tickets?

A: Not necessarily, if you have access to the emailed copy of the tickets (it is sent with the receipt right after you purchase) you can present it to your tour guide – if not, please bring a printout of the ticket.

Q: Is it safe?

A: We love our guests, so, yes; of course our walk is safe. We expect that all guests are mindful of their personal safety, as we are walking on the sidewalks of public, sometimes busy, streets. Stay on the sidewalks, watch for cars, and obey traffic laws just as you would when not on the tour.

By purchasing a ticket you agree to Ethereal Crack not being responsible for any injuries - physical, mental, or otherwise.
