The International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) unit within the Office of International Affairs (OIA) offers several Work Clinics each semester for students who are in F-1 visa classification and are interested in off-campus work authorization called Optional Practical Training (OPT). OPT is work authorization for F-1 students who have completed all of their degree requirements; however, it can also be used prior to completion. Students will apply for OPT in their last semester, and therefore, it is advisable to attend an OPT Work Clinic in your second last semester or the beginning of your last semester.
Please register in advance for each Work Clinic. After registering, you will receive an email with a ticket for this event in PDF. We ask that you print this ticket and bring it with you at the time of the Work Clinic. We also ask that you please arrive on time for the Work Clinic. A late arrival could result in a student having to register for another Work Clinic at a later date.
