Join ADL New York Region’s Next Generation Philanthropy Community Outreach Network for an evening with IDF Brigadier General Nutzan Nuriel discussing the modern security threats to Israel and the strategies in combatting terrorism to secure Israel’s future.

Brig. General Nitzan Nuriel is currently a Research Associate at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism at IDC of Herzilya. He joined the IDF in 1977 and served in several commanding positions, including deputy division commander. In 2001, Nuriel was appointed to the Military Attachè at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C. and served as the liaison between the IDF and the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Special Operations Command, FEMA and Homefront Command. After retiring from military service, Nuriel joined the Israeli National Security Council and worked in crisis management at the government level.

Nuriel was named Director of the Counter-Terrorism Bureau in 2007, and now oversees Israel’s national policies and implementation of border protections, cargo security, aviation security, and advanced technology for public safety.
