In 2011, the Institut Català de Paleontologia in Barcelona, Spain organized the First International Symposium on Paleohistology (ISPH). The second symposium, hosted by the Museum of the Rockies at Montana State University, followed in 2013, and The University of Bonn hosted the third ISPH in 2015.
The New Jersey State Museum is honored to be next in line, and very pleased to invite you to attend the 4th biannual International Symposium on Paleohistology in July of 2017.
ISPH will convene from Monday, July 10, through Wednesday July 12, 2017 at the New Jersey State Museum in Trenton, New Jersey, United States of America.
Pre-symposium workshops will take place on Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9. Lab and classroom space is limited, so advanced registration is recommended.
An informal welcoming reception is planned for Sunday, July 9 at Princeton University’s historic Guyot Hall (in nearby Princeton, New Jersey). All participants are encouraged to attend this social program, which has become the traditional start to the ISPH symposium. Guyot Hall is within walking distance of the official symposium hotel, the Nassau Inn.
Post-symposium field trips will be conducted on Thursday, July 13 and Friday, July 14. Advanced registration is required for both trips.
The New Jersey State Museum will produce a Special Publication following the symposium. All participants that submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation will be eligible to submit a full research paper version for peer-review and inclusion in the publication, at no cost to the author(s).
