Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

The Future is a journey. Before you start, you need to decide where you are going

But that can be hard. There are so many possible ideas to decide between. How do you choose what you want your future to be, and how do you describe it? Others will have a different view of how the future looks to them. How do you decide on a future that everyone agrees on?

The answer lies in having new techniques to clarify the future and remove the problem.

The Isochron Visioning Workshop will teach you these proven techniques and help you apply these to your own situation.

Who should attend this workshop?

  1. Anyone who has to find a new Vision, get agreement on it and/or deliver a change.
  2. Commercial businesses, public sector organisations, charities and individuals.
  3. Anyone who wants to use new generation techniques to remove the traditional problems of Visioning.

What do you get from this workshop?

At the end of the Workshop, you will have learned techniques to clarify who sets out the Vision; and define the Vision from a solid set of sources.

You will be able to describe what the future will look like in terms that are:

  1. Tangible – Real practical outcomes
  2. Measurable – Either has or hasn’t happened
  3. Granular – Itemised list for cross-checking and re-use
  4. Deliverable – Achievable and realistic

You will have practised the techniques and started to produce re-usable practical result.

You will also receive a certificate of completion.

What new skills will you leave with?

  • Identifying the real Stakeholders of the Vision – who are they and why?
  • Finding out what these Stakeholders want, need and expect – how to do this in a methodical way
  • Enabling the Stakeholders to describe how they will know when their expectations are met
  • Using other sources to expand the Vision – how to do this for private and public sectors, and for personal Vision
  • Revealing consensus around the Vision – a process to find agreement
  • Translating objections into positive elements of the Vision – a process to overcome self-limiting beliefs and unearth the devils in the detail
  • Understanding the uses for the workshop output in planning, estimating value, managing people and change delivery
