The 2023 ISIE Symposium will bring together scholars, professionals, and enthusiasts to learn from the past and to generate new ideas and practices relating to the design of future international expositions.

Day one of the two-day symposium focuses on lessons learned from earlier fairs and highlights the work of experts in fields connected to expo design in the 21st century. Day two features presentations from invited participants and explores potential lessons learned from the most recent world’s fair, Expo 2020 in Dubai, and then delves into insights from representatives of Expo 2025 and of bid committees for Expo 2027 and Expo 2030. Both days will include plenty of time for discussion and making new connections.

This event is supported in part by the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture at the University of Arizona.
