ISI STATELESSNESS ESSENTIALS Open Access Online Course

To mark a decade of leadership in statelessness education, ISI is proud to launch Statelessness Essentials, a free, open-access online course, which will be held from 16 September - 18 November 2025. This course builds on ISI’s strong history of teaching and capacity building, including the flagship Annual Statelessness Course, which since 2015 has equipped over 500 learners around the world and helped build a more connected and capable statelessness field.

WHAT WE OFFER:

• A foundational understanding of statelessness and the right to nationality
• Exploration of real-life experiences and global developments
• Solutions-focused content grounded in lived and learned expertise
• Free access to a flexible and engaging hybrid learning environment
• Certificate upon completion of the full course series

This open-access course will run over 10 weeks, with weekly live sessions supported by recorded content, high-quality learning materials, and on-demand resources. Participants will engage in live discussions with expert lecturers and trailblazers in the field. As a pilot for a future Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), Statelessness Essentials also serves as an innovation platform for inclusive, justice-oriented learning.Registration is open to individuals from all over the world.

The course is free of charge.
