Event description
The (ISC)² Toronto Chapter proudly presents a Cybersecurity Awareness session for parents and kids!

About this Event

Join us for a Cyber Security Awareness Training for Parents and Kids (ages 6 to 11)!

The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 24th, from 10 to 11 am. 30 minutes of the session will be focused on parents, with the remaining 30 minutes including training for children.

The training will be based on the curriculum created by the Center for Cyber Safety and Education. https://iamcybersafe.org/

Did you know that :

- On average a child gets a smart phone by 10 years old

- 40% of elementary age children have already chatted with a stranger online

- 11% met with that stranger online

We can no longer wait until children are in middle or high school to begin teaching them basic safety practices like online stranger danger, keeping personal information private, not sharing passwords and being kind online to others.

Feel free to extend the invitation to family, friends, partners or colleagues!
