About this event
This December, cellist Isaac Pastor-Chermak and pianist Miles Graber have the opportunity to record Elliott Carter's cello sonata on Carter's own piano, with professional sound and videography, for an online video release in early 2023. Help us raise $2000 to make this recording a reality!

Miles Graber who received his musical training at the Juilliard School, has developed a wide reputation as an accompanist and collaborative pianist for instrumentalists and singers. He has been associated with numerous solo artists, including Itzhak Perlman, Camilla Wicks, and Sarah Chang, as well as with such ensembles as the San Francisco Chamber Soloists, Midsummer Mozart, the Oakland-East Bay Symphony, the California Symphony, Oakland Lyric Opera, Berkeley Opera, Opera San Jose, and the San Francisco Camerata. Miles Graber has accompanied master classes by such artists as Midori, Joseph Silverstein, Nadia Salerno-Sonnenberg, Pamela Frank, and Alexander Barantchik. Mr. Graber is active as a teacher and chamber music coach and has served on the faculties of the Crowden School in Berkeley and the San Domenico Conservatory in San Anselmo. Cellist Isaac Pastor-Chermak enjoys a diverse and varied career in symphony and opera orchestras, chamber music, and solo and recording engagements, as well as engaging deeply with his community as a conductor, educator, and nonprofit board member. He is Principal Cellist of Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony and Eisenstadt (Austria) Classical Music Festival; Assistant Principal Cellist of Opera San Jose, Fresno Philharmonic, and Stockton Symphony; and a member of Berkeley Symphony, Santa Barbara Symphony, Monterey Symphony, Santa Cruz Symphony, and Reno Philharmonic. Pastor-Chermak is Adjunct Professor of Music History at San Francisco Conservatory of Music and teaches an award-winning private cello studio. He sits on the Board of Directors of East Bay Music Foundation and Calliope East Bay Music and Arts, and is Founder and Music Director Emeritus of Solano Youth Chamber Orchestra.
