About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Do you want to write, but you're not sure if it's for novels, short stories, theatre or film?

Then join this creative writing workshop from ScriptEM, exploring what medium might be right for you.

Each storytelling medium has strengths and weaknesses. This workshop, open to all levels of experience, is a space where participants will receive a general, but comprehensive, overview of different story mediums from prose to script writing to identify key elements within each that will empower participants to pair story with form.

Participants will leave the workshop having put these concepts into practice through reviewing examples, in-depth discussion, and writing exercises.

We will explore key concepts like perspective, style, and structure, to evaluate and identify how form can be an opportunity to add depth and expand one’s writing practice.

'Is This Working?', as an exploration of form, will either be the first step in getting words on a page, or the last step in understanding why a story just isn’t working. Yet.
