Are companies wasting money chasing millennial customers? Will Gen minus A be the next fictional market to chase?

About this Event

Is there a Millennials market? Or is it a fiction of ad agencies and consultants desperate for new sources of revenue?

Speakers: Moderator: Cindy Cook, partner Metaforce (https://www.metaforce.co/cindy) Sahand Dilmaghani, co-founder Terra Kaffe (https://www.terrakaffe.com/); Doug Brundage founder Kingsland (www.kingslandny.com); and Heather Myers, founder Sparkno9. (https://www.sparkno9.com/)

When Lululemon sells more yoga pants the millennials get the credit. If there is a drop in sales of men's check shirts at Target blame the millennials.

Boomers, baby boomers, echo baby boomers, Gen X, Gen Y, Gen Z and now Millennials. Ad and consulting folks create these categories, claiming to have unique insights to expand sales. Marketing folks and the media eagerly accept these formulations.

But what happened to the Yuppies? Are companies wasting money chasing millennial customers? How long will millennial be a hot topic for the media? Will Gen minus A be the next fictional market dreamed up by ad folks and consultants?
