Event description

Description

“Merit is a sham,” Yale Law School professor Daniel Markovits writes in his new book, The Meritocracy Trap: How America’s Foundational Myth Feeds Inequality, Dismantles the Middle Class, and Devours the Elite. Hear Markovits on why our cherished belief in the American Dream that hard work yields reward is not merely bunk but a highly destructive myth that feeds inequality, rather than erasing it.
