Description

One of the world’s most prestigious classical music competitions, this year’s Klein Competition features nine outstanding young string players from around the world aged 15-23 vying for cash prizes and performance contracts onstage at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. See the classical music superstars of tomorrow, today!

The SEMIFINALS round (FREE) takes place Saturday, June 2 from 10AM - 4PM. Each of the 8-9 competitors, selected from 100 admissions, will perform a 25-minute program, including a solo Bach piece, the commissioned work by David Froom, and a movement from a major concerto. A 75-min lunch break follows the first five performances. Finalists will be announced at conclusion of performances.

The FINALS round (TICKETED) takes place Sunday, June 3 from 3 - 530PM and will feature three dynamic 25-35-minute recitals featuring solo Bach, well-loved major sonata and concerto movements. Awards ceremony will follow.
