2017 Symposium - Irving J. Gill: Transitioning to Modern

Register by October 1st : $90 per person

Includes two days of engaging presentations, 4 exclusive tours 
and lunch on Saturday

Examine the work and designs of Irving J. Gill from 1905-1911; a time when he refines his style which results in Gill becoming one of America’s most significant architectural innovators. During this key period he developed and evolved his high-style which greatly influenced the language of ‘Modern Architecture’. The San Diego ‘Uptown District’ showcases Gill’s work during this very special period. Attendees will learn and explore first hand as they enjoy an insiders tour of several properties that Gill designed and an engaging symposium. Guided tours include First Church of Christ Scientist, Balboa Park Administration Building, Marston House and the Lee-Teats House.
