Our organization was founded to carry forward their legacy. Since 1981, we have been promoting peace and justice in Central America by engaging Ohioans in education and action.
To commemorate the martyrdom of the Cleveland women
and empower people to carry on their legacy, we need your help!
We respectfully request that you consider a sponsorship or a donation (gift card or product for our auction) towards our Annual Commemoration of the Martyrs.
This event will be held at Beaumont School in Cleveland Heights. Approximately 300 IRTF friends and supporters will gather for a social hour, sit down dinner and interfaith service. Our keynote speaker from Nicaragua will be Marlen Sánchez, National Coordinator of Agroecology for the ATC (Asociación de Trabajadores del Campo). In the 1990s, ATC helped found La Via Campesina, an international social movement that defends the rights of peasants, agricultural workers, women farmers, fishers, pastoralists, indigenous peoples, and migrants in 80 countries around the world.
We hope that you decide to support our work and use this opportunity
to promote how your organization supports human rights across the Americas!

When & Where
InterReligious Task Force on Central America
IRTF is a Cleveland-based, nonprofit group that promotes peace and human rights in Central America and Colombia. People of faith and conscience founded IRTF after the 1980 murder of four US church women (two from Cleveland) in El Salvador by US-trained soldiers.
IRTF calls together the people of northeast Ohio to walk in solidarity with oppressed peoples of Central America and Colombia, to achieve peace, justice, human rights, and systemic transformation through nonviolence.
Since 1981, IRTF has mobilized NE Ohioans to change US policies, corporate actions, and consumer behaviors that undermine this vision of nonviolent social change.
