This session is being hosted by the Center for Nonprofit Strategy and Management, School of Public Affairs, Baruch College in partnership with the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, New York University, Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York and the Foundation Center.
Presented by the IRS Exempt Organizations unit, this workshop will provide an opportunity for small and mid-sized nonprofits to learn more about the following topics:
- the benefits and responsibilities of tax-exempt status;
- an overview of the redesigned 990 form;
- required disclosures;
- restoration of tax-exempt status;
- employment Issues, including classification and filing requirements;
- and Unrelated Business Income Tax issues.
There will also be a question and answer period with IRS Exempt Organizations representatives.
Check-In from 8:00am-9:00am, followed by the workshop from 9:00am-4:00pm.

Registration for this meeting is is open to both members and non-members, but may be limited to one person per organization due to space constraints.
CLE/CPE credit will not be given by the IRS. However, certificates of attendance will be distributed at the end of the meeting to anyone who wishes to pursue self-certification.
