The Iris Chamber Ensemble of Greater New York

Frances C. Roberts, Conductor

Dr. Kenneth Rosenthal, Pianist and  Event M.C.

Avraham Sternklar, Pianist

On Sunday September 22nd at 4:00 at Adelphi University Preforming Arts Center, the Iris Chamber Ensemble of New York will be preforming their first benefit concert, featuring foundation president, host, and pianist Dr. Kenneth Rosenthal, conductor Frances C. Roberts, pianist Abvaham Sternklar, and Pulizer Prize winning composer Paul Moravec. Following the gala concert, a reception and  silent auction will be held. 

It is our goal to raise $100,000 at this event!

The program will feature works by Haydn, Mozart, Milhaud and by Paul Moravec, the Pulitzer Prize winning composer and Adelphi University professor.  Dr. Rosenthal and Ms. Roberts will perform alongside the Iris Chamber Ensemble of New York, a superb group of professional musicians. The foundations president, Dr. Rosenthal will perform the two piano version of Scaramouche by Darius Milhaud with Avraham Sternklar, who has been Dr. Rosenthal's teacher and mentor for his whole life.

Those purchasing a VIP ticket, will be invited to attend a private reception prior to the concert. Private invitation to follow. If you are interested in group ticketing please e-mail: irisandrose@eyesurgery.org

Seating will be based upon first come first basis for your ticketed section.

Iris and Rose Foundation Inc.

The Iris and Rose Foundation provides funds for research, medical care, and support to those suffering from blindness, at risk of blindness, or suffering from other eye diseases and conditions. The foundation focuses on rare eye conditions for whom treatment is not covered by insurance, particularly when cutting edge techniques or surgical care is not yet FDA approved, or where patients lack the economic resources to pay for surgical or other related treatment. 

The foundation also provides funding of clinical research for eye diseases, particularly those involving the lens, cornea, iris and ciliary body. The board of the Iris and Rose Foundation is dedicated to assisting  individuals with the ability to undergo their surgeries. 

The foundation also seeks to support and educate eye surgeons on rare and complex eye surgery, and provide grants to eye research and surgical/technology development.
