About this event
The International Rescue Committee, Inc. (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster.
The IRC opened its locally-funded office in Miami in 1960 in response to the Cuban Revolution and, over the decades, has served over 25,000 refugees, asylees, survivors of human trafficking, unaccompanied children and other vulnerable populations in South Florida.
Join the IRC in Miami as we host our first in-person event, celebrating Give Miami Day, and in recognition of the resilience of our program participants, which include survivors of human trafficking, unaccompanied minors and immigrant youth.
This event is co-hosted by the International Rescue Committee and the World Affairs Council of Miami. The World Affairs Council of Miami is an independent, nonpartisan, non-profit organization that facilitates public discourse on global issues and provides educational opportunities on international affairs to students of all ages.
