Spring is a good time to get intimate with the landscape. As the flora unfurls from a winter's nap and the expressive skies loom over the expansive landscape, let's capture the wonder and the beauty with cameras most convenient to carry - our smartphones and simple 'point and shoots'. This photography workshop focuses on simple tools and apps for capturing macro images as well as wide angle to encompass the magical landscape and skies of Joshua Tree National Park. You don't necessarily need a huge, expensive camera to create memorable images of your travels and explorations of the natural world. Step away from ordinary snapshots by learning how to creatively see as you explore all your smartphone and compact cameras can do for you.
